Biography

Hi friends! I’m Lyanna Gatdula, a fourth-year Biomedical Engineering student at TMU, excited to serve as your Student Group Manager for MUES for the 2024-2025 school year. Known for my loud and optimistic spirit, I’m passionate about engaging with the engineering community and promoting the amazing initiatives of MUES!

Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of being involved in various organizing committees, including roles in logistics for Frosh 2024, CFES CSE 2024, and ESSCO CALE 2025. These experiences have deepened my commitment to collaboration and innovation!

During some free time, I love combining my interests in photography and videography to create compelling stories through editing (basically vlogging). I’m excited to connect with all of you and make this year amazing!

About this Role

As the Student Group Manager, my primary role is to strengthen connections among design teams, interest groups, and student chapters within MUES. I serve as a key point of contact for these groups, addressing their questions and concerns to ensure they feel supported and informed.

Additionally, I act as a liaison between MUES and the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS). This means I facilitate potential collaborations and communicate any inquiries from the groups effectively. When issues arise, I advocate for their voices to be heard during Board of Directors meetings, ensuring their needs are prioritized.

One of my key initiatives is organizing an engineering expo, which highlights the remarkable projects and initiatives led by our students. This event not only showcases their hard work but also opens up opportunities for future members to get involved in the engineering community.
