The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is the largest professional community for mechanical engineers in the world. ASME allows engineers in all disciplines to improve their professional skills, expand their career options, and help global communities solve real world problems. ASME Ryerson serves as the bridge between Ryerson and ASME International, and aims to help students in their professional development through organizing events and sending students to conferences.

Annualy, ASME Ryerson organizes plant tours to Pratt and Whitney, Toyota manufacturing and also hosts networking night, interactive resume and cover letter workshop , internship 101 workshop. Lastly, each year ASME Ryerson sends selected students to attend the biggest mechanical engineering conference in the world, i.e, the International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition (IMECE) in the United States.
