The Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) is the national association of undergraduate engineering student societies in Canada and exists to organize activities, provide services and interact with professional and other bodies at the national and international level for the benefit of Canadian engineering students.

Engineering Student Societies’ Council of Ontario is an association that represents engineering societies from 16 universities across Ontario, and acts as the link between engineering students and professional associations, academia, and government. Since its creation in 1987, ESSCO’s goal has been to promote “unity, continuity, and visibility among Ontario engineering students”.
Conferences
FYIC
The First Year Integration Conference (FYIC) consisted of an insightful first year stream of sessions to develop professional skills, network, and introduce incoming students to engineering.
ESSCO AGM
This Ontario regional conference gathers the new council of VP Externals, introducing them to ESSCO, as well as partner organizations including CFES, PEO, and OSPE.
PEO-SC
PEO-SC 2018 was focused around career development and the impact of engineering on society, as well as our role as engineering students to shape a future in which engineering remains at the forefront of innovation and inclusivity.
OEC
Ontario Engineering Competition consists of 8 different categories, to offer more venues for students to test their mettle, better reflecting both the soft skills and array of technical skills required to succeed as an engineer today in a multitude of industries
CSE
The conference aims to raise awareness about issues in sustainability and environmental engineering, and encourage students to discuss and design solutions to counter them.
CELC
CFES Canadian Engineering Leadership Conference, formally known as Congress is an annual, bi-lingual, student-run conference that has two primary objectives. The first is that CFES CELC is the annual general meeting of the CFES and the second is that it provides a platform from which students can collaborate with and learn from our industry partners, sponsors and fellow students.
CDE
CDE aims to develop knowledge surrounding the variety of individuals, cultures and perspectives found within engineering communities. CDE further aims to instill a notion of positivity and togetherness in creating spaces that value the differences between groups of engineering students and professionals.
CEC
The Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) brings together 150 of the most innovative and creative engineering undergraduate students from across the nation to compete against each other in design, consulting, presentation and debate. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to expand their frame of reference and to identify solutions to problems experienced by our profession.
